Privacy
Your data never leaves your browser.
This is the shortest and strictest privacy policy you will find on a tool site — because there is nothing to store.
1. What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, transmit, or log any of the text, files, or data you process in our tools. Every tool runs entirely in your browser.
2. How it works
When you use a tool, the processing happens locally using your device's JavaScript engine. Open the Network tab in your DevTools while using any tool and you will see zero requests leaving your browser with your data. This makes data collection — accidental or intentional — technically impossible.
3. No accounts, no cookies for tracking
There is no signup and no account system, so we have no personal information to store. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only local storage we use is your browser's own storage to remember your theme preference (light/dark) — and even that stays on your device.
4. Third-party services
We do not load third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site. Fonts are self-hosted. There is nothing to leak to a third party.
5. Why this matters
In November 2025, one of the most popular online formatter sites leaked more than 80,000 files and 5 GB of user data because it processed everything on its servers. We built OpenToolLab the opposite way: client-side only, so there is simply no data for anyone to breach.
6. Offline use
Because our tools run in your browser, most continue to work even without an internet connection. Your use of OpenToolLab can be completely local.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the change will be published here. Our commitment to client-side, no-data processing will not change — it is the entire point of this project.
